Searching for information relating to THE PONTEFRACT CENTRE FOR MORAL WELFARE, "THE HAVEN", LINDEN TERRACE, PONTEFRACT in the West Riding of Yorkshire in 1943/44. I have two old letters addressed to my adoptive mother from the Superintendent Miss E. Riddick. My theory is that this is the place where I resided as a baby prior to adoption in 1943.
Would any records of this establishment still exist and if so how could I access them?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
