Trying to find the parents of a John Maddern or Madron born cir 1799 either Madron or Penzance, Cornwall Father was Thomas but mother's name unknown. Possible marriages were to Jane Ellis in 1799 or Mary Curry in 1802. Does anyone have evidence of a connection. John was recrded in the 1871 census as John Madron living near Madron and aged 72 I have now connected this John Maddern to Thomas Maddern and Jane Ellis married 1799 at Madron and he was born 1803 at Penzance. His father was Thomas Maddern who married Charity Richards who also married 1799 at Madron. It is belived that Thomas Maddern (senior) first married Catherine Thomas of Penzance in 1775 Has anyone any further source information that would confirm the above parentage |
