Hi
I am looking for information on both Rees John & his 1st wife Harriet Davies as well as his 2nd wife Wilhelmna McKinnon.

I don’t know anything about Rees before the 1871 census where he was a lodger in Glamorgan Wales with the occupation as collier. From the census his birth year was 1848, and birth place was Pembrokeshire Wales.
Harriet Davies birth year & place from the same census is 1848 & Llanpumpsaint Carmarthenshire Wales. My best guess is that her parents were Evan & Rachel Davies.
Wilhelmina mcKinnon was previously married to William McKinnon, her parents were Laurence & Elizabeth Donald.
Rees & Harriet travelled from Plymouth to Sydney Australia about July 1879 onboard the vessel Ninevah. There were 2 families on that ship, the other parents being Ambrose (36) & Mary (35) along with 7 children. My best guess is that Rees & Harriet’s children were Mary (8), William (4) & Henry (1) as these names match Australian death records.

Rees & Harriet had 2 more boys in Newcastle NSW, James (1880) & Evan (1882) but Harriet appears to have died during or shortly after childbirth with a daughter Elizabeth (1884)

Rees remarried in 1890 to Wilhelmina McKinnon and they had 2 more boys, Rees 1992, George 1994.

Evan John married Eunice Broadley in 1908 in NSW but I have no further info on the other children.
