Are you sure about the DOB? their is this Jacob family living at 16 miners row aberdare on the 1891 census but John's age is out by 30 year but their son David is down as born 1880

John’s wife is Mary Morgans DOB?

John’s occupation on the birth cert is colliery ostler

Adam, I have never heard of a fathers DOB being recorded on a son's birth cert

but their is something not right? because this is i think your John on the 1901 census and say's DOB abt 1862 still living at 16 miners row aberdare

but Mary's age is consistant at abt 1861

On the birth cert of James under name and surname of father it says

(John then underneath scored out Jago then next to that 27. then underneath that Jacob)

Do you think the 27 stands for something other than John’s age?

I agree that something not right.

Do you think that the years of birth for John are wrong on one of the census? If the 1891 is correct he would be fathering James at 57 otherwise 44 if the 1901 census is correct.

What interest me is (David Morgan 19 Relation: Stepson)

On James Jacobs birth cert his mother is Mary Morgans this could be her son from another father taking her maiden name.

Do you think that the surname is Just Morgan and the s on the end is a mistake?

These people must surly be his family because they have the right surname, parents names and are living at the same address where James was born and a step son living at the address with the surname Morgan?

Trying to find for a friend her relatives of John Watkin Jacob from Hirwain. He married a Catherine but I believe his parents were Abraham Jacob and Mary. Any leads would be most grateful
