I'm the daughter of (late) George Russell Herbert, born Glasgow 1931 (Died Glasgow 1995) and the grandaughter of (late) Thomas Munro Herbert (died May 1972). I don't know any of my grandfather's brothers and sisters, or their families, and I believe he had many siblings. He was born in Sligo, Ireland, (I've been led to believe) although at some point the whole family moved to Glasgow. They lived in the Oatlands/Gorbals area of Glasgow, and there are possibly many relatives still living in this area, even possibly in the Rutherglen area. Could anyone who thinks they may be related, however far down the line, please contact me. I'd love to make contact. |
