Find Ancestors

Trying to find relations of Harold Clegg(22/11/1914) or Harold Clegg Senior (1880).
Harold jnr was born in Lancashire, father born in Scotland. Any info would be welcome, Harold jnrs mother was believed to be Irish. Harold jnr moved to Nottingham possibly early 30s, married Ethel Leonardi (his second wife) in 1941, he married 1st time in Lancashire not much known about that period, exept that his wife died in childbirth, known to have lived in Derby so she may have come from there.
Not got any more info before he came to Nottingham and he would never talk about his past.

Hi, After a break of quite a few years I've just picked up researching my husbands family and found your 2007 post. Patricia Sullivan, Harold Clegg's first wife was my husband's great aunt, sister to his grandfather James. . James Sullivan was a teacher, he also played professional football for Crewe Alexander in 1924 then moved to Nottingham and played for County Football Club in 1925, possibly leaving Burnley around 1922. Unfortunately, like Harold, James rarely spoke of his life before his marriage or about his parents, in fact the family have no photographs of the Sullivan family prior to his marriage, so if you have any photographs of Patricia they would be very, very, much appreciated. Patricia and James and their two other siblings were born in Burnley, Lancashire, if that helps you in your search for Harold.
