Does anybody recognise my mother ? -- Annie or Helena Giles, born 1903 or 1905 in Limehouse, London, was known as Nell by my father. She had a brother Thomas, born 1900, picked up as a waif when about 8 yrs old in Stepney, sent to a Stockport Home, then sent to Canada via Liverpool in 1914 with a R.C. group of children. She also had a sister Ellen, married name Rowe, who lived in Dagenham with children Bert, Stanley,Eva.Mum told me she was in a home and sent into service but I've been unable to trace where - she was very secretive! She married my father, F.J. Bridle (Jack) who came from Sussex.
