My Granmother was Maryanne Farrel. She was born in Ballina, County Mayo. Her father owned the newspaper there and I am told family still do. Uncle Denis Farrell married Auntie Eda , nee Newton in Manchester area in 1954. They then lived in West Kirby. He was killed in an industrial acciedent in Hoylake 18 days after their marriage. His mother , May is also burried in Hoylake. I am told there are Farrels' in Hoylake. Margaret Farrel was matron of Blackburn Royal Infirmary for many years. Does anyone have any info on this branch of the Farrells? Sheila Morrell, grandaughter |
