Ellen Ellis gave birth to Christopher on 15.8.43 at Langholm Lea Nursing Home in Altrincham, Cheshire. At this time she stayed with Mr.Mrs.Wood in Altrincham and worked as a cinema clerk. She gave up Christopher for adoption. The story goes that she was only 16 and the father was an American airman, we have no proof of this. We would be delighted to hear from anyone who knows what happened to Ellen, did she emigrate, did she marry, did she have further children? She could have been from anywhere in Britain and stayed with friends in Altrincham until the baby was born. Please get in touch if you have any informaton. |
