In response to the person trying to find James hedley ell - my grandfather was George Headley Ell who lived in Croydon - I think he was born around 1900 -1910 - he died in the early seventies and had only one child my father George born in 1932 died in 1987. I believe grandfather George was a bit of a black sheep who ran away to join the marines - my father worked in Surry Street market Croydon and some years ago he was given the Ell family tree - I think there is a large branch in South Africa - My info on my grandfather is pretty sketchy but if you would like to know more my e mail address is [email protected] |
