my great great grandmothers death record

i've been going round in circles trying to get definate information on mary roberts or edwards, my grandfather believes she died in ellesmere port between 1951-1953 she was definately married to thomas roberts when their child elsie roberts was born in 1897....... my grandfather says elsie had a brother called henry edwards who was younger than her but i can't find any record of her re-marrying, on elsies marriage cert in 1924 it shows thomas roberts as her father, so i can only assume mary and thomas divorced.......... by the time elsie had her 1st child in 1925 she was using edwards as her maiden name........ this was also on elsies death cert.... |
