DONOGHUE Trying to find information on my G Grandfather William Donoghue who arrived in Settle North Yorkshire around 1910 married my G Grandma Mary Jane Bradley. They had 7 children then he disappeared sometime after 1923 maybe to the North East of England. Any info welcome UPDATE: I have found a cutting from a newspaper in an aunts cupboard that says that my G Grandfather was jailed for 1 month for deserting my G Grandmother but there is no date!! What it does say is that the only contact she'd had since he left was through his aunt in Carlisle so he may have settled there. Does this ring any bells with anyone in Carlisle? Or anyone any ideas where I can go from here. |
