Trying to find any information concerning my Grandmother's family. Her name was Kathleen Donoghue, born 19/4/1893in Ireland - I do not know where. The only siblings I know of were Jim(or James) who emigrated to New Zealand some time around 1920? And a sister Bridget (Biddy) who came to London with her son Patrick and eventually married Frank Stretton.My grandmother Kathleen married George Blackmore (an English soldier) in Newbridge, Co Kildare on 9/4/1918 and then came to England with him. We know nothing of her family in Ireland - perhaps because of the circumstances of her marriage? Any information would be welcome. |
