My grandfather's family moved to Altofts in the late 1890's
He was 'returned' to Dudley Worcestershire, where he grew up,married and died not knowing what happened to his family
His parent's name were John & Martha Taylor and the family lived at 31Silkstone Row Altofts. John was a miner. The children went to Altofts Infant School, their names being Susannah(1887)Lizie(1903)John(1905)Samuel(1908)William(1909) and Amy (No Date) I wonder if any of the aboves grandchildren are still in the area. It would be great to fill in the last 'brick' of my family tree.
