I am looking for anyone knowing anything about William Orr Cochrane who was my grandfather. He was born in County Downs in Antrim, Ireland. He had a brother named Thomas Cochrane. He lived in Opotiki NZ and his children are Samuel Matthew, Louise, Agnes, Kathleen and Jean. I would appreciate any knowledge. Thanks. [email protected]

Hi Marianne,

A number of years ago we were in contact re Samuel Cochrane. I am now doing an indepth search of all the Cochranes who descended from William Cochrane and Mary Orr with a view to compiling a book. I will be visiting County Down later this year and have made contact with an Orr who we share a distant ancestor.

I still have the same address.
