R H Cannon Completely stalled my family tree- my paternal Granfather, Richard Henry Cannon gives his next of kin (in his army book) as Richard Cannon of New York USA (c.1877) My grandfather, born 1859, married Emily Alder and they had three surviving children- Emily (or Madge), Hilda, and Richard- my father. At some point, R H joined the Indian Army where he was a Bandsman (Clarinet). After his marriage he lived in England, at Dulwich (Etherow Street), London and built a good business in early central heating installations uner the name of 'Cannon & Hephord'. He installed systems in a number of LCC schools and some British embassies in Europe, e..g. Budapest. He came to live with us during the second world war, and his house in Etherow Street was destroyed by bombs. Can any one offer a connection to him which might help us to continue developing our family tree with earlier ancestors? Richard W Cannon
