SARAH BUGDEN - SUSSEX

I am trying to trace my great grandfather William Greaves. I have come across an entry on the 1861 census with reference to Sarah Bugden, charwoman aged 64 and living in Chailey, Sussex. The entry also list one William Greaves, student aged 8, a grandson. As this ties in with what I have already found out about him I was hoping someone from the Bugden side could possibly confirm or let me disregard this lead.

There is a strong possibility taht a daughter Chrstiana could be the mother of William. I have found a death in 1853 that could be her and this would certainly be a reason for William to be living with his grandmother.

Cheers,

Gordon.
