If you are ever up in Northumberland, go to a small village called 'Otterburn' there in the old churchyard you will find about a dozen graves with the name 'Brydon' written on the headstones, my father was born there in 1905, his father was the tailor there making clothes for all the gentry until he was killed on a bicycle in Otterburn when he was 46ys. Not by a car as very few of them where around in those days, but 2 tramps had lain across the road hoping to stop and rob him but when he tried to swerve passed them he hit a mile stone at the side of the road it was a tragic death, leaving behind a wife and 6 children. Many of my fathers relations lived around that area, mostly Farmers but we never had any contact with them. After the accident the family moved on to Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
