My father was called Eric Binns born 1921 and his parents were RHoda Ellen Dickinson 1895 and James Henry Binns born 1894 a devot Christian man aChurchwarden went to St Andrews Church Oldham .My father lived in Chadderton married Elizabeth Edwina Harkus whilst in the air force during 2nd world war.He Had family in Elland yorkshire. His mother came from Middle Chinnock. I think his father came from Yorkshire? Had a aunt called Lucy Dickinson married called Pegler lived in Lytham St Annes and an aunt Ethel Binns who lived in Royton Oldham and a cousin called George Binns who lived in Farnworth then Sutton Coldfield.There was an aunt Anna who heavily involved in the guide movement in Oldham. |
