Bickerdikes of West Yorkshire

I am researching my fathers family of Bickerdikes and have got back to Richard Bickerdike, born c1796 (according to death cert) he married Ruth Hesling at Guiseley Parish in 1825 and was listed as 'of this parish' he had several children but died before the 1851 census that would have given his birth place.
Oral family history says that a branch of the family had a farm on York Road in Leeds, where the 'Bickerdike Terrace' was, our branch was said to be the black sheep as they all went into engineering rather than farming. The York Rd farm, as far as I can see was Matthew Bickerdike of the Harewood Bickerdikes, but I can't find a link to them.

Has anyone any info that may help me at this brick wall!! Anything would be greatly appreciated,

Regards
