Member Since: December 2002 Posts: 3 Send Message	My name is Lynda Ballam. My paternal grandfather was a Samuel John (or John Samuel) Ballam. He was born in Poole, Dorset and came to Merthyr Tydfil in his late teens to work in the local Iron Works. I am in touch with his sister Ethel's children but they have not been able to provide much information about him. The name is practically unique to Dorset though can be found in nearby counties. I wonder if his elder sister Clara Eliza Ballam has any descendants.
