KENT ADAMS TRYING TO FIND ANYONE WHO CAN HELP TRACE MY COUSIN MARK KENT. MY DAD WAS BORN IN LONDON IN 1910 AS WALLACE HENRY ADAMS, HIS MOTHER REMARRIED A MAN CALLED KENT SO DAD WAS BROUGHT UP AS A KENT, DAD RAN AWAY FROM HOME AROUND 1924, THEN IN 1926 HE FALSIFIED HIS AGE AND JOINED THE BRITISH ARMY,(THE WELCH REGIMENT) AT AGE 21 WHILST POSTED IN THE UK HE CHANGED HIS NAME BACK TO ADAMS AT SOMERSET HOUSE, HE SERVED FOR 22 YEARS. HE MET AND MARRIED MY MUM AND SETTLED IN BELFAST. BY NOW HE HAD LOST ALL CONTACT WITH HIS FAMILY. AROUND 1958 WE HAD A SURPRISE VISIT, WILLIAM KENT MY DAD'S BROTHER HAD TRACED HIM THROUGH THE WAR OFFICE, WILLIAM WAS A CHIEF PURSUR ON ONE OF P AND O LINERS WHICH HAD COME TO BELFAST FOR REPAIRS. HE LEFT PHOTO'S OF HIMSELF WITH HIS WIFE RITA AND THEIR YOUNG SON MARK. SADLY AFTER DAD DIED IN 1974 WE LOST TOUCH WITH WILLIAM. THEIR LAST KNOWN ADDRESS WAS THORPE BAY SOUTHEND-ON-SEA. WOULD LOVE TO KNOW MORE ABOUT DAD'S SIDE OF THE FAMILY, WE KNOW THAT HE ALSO HAD A SISTER CALLED IVY WHO PASSED AWAY VERY YOUNG.
