I am trying to find birth record for my Grandfather John Smith (Not the easiest of names to track down). He was born about 1862/3/4, probably in West Bromwich, Staffs area and married my Grandmother Eliza Jane Pratt (born in 1865) in 1885 in Moxley. His Father's name was William Smith. who was a Fireman (Smithy or Forgeworker, labourer) Any information gratefully received. If you have a similar John Smith in your tree please email me as this might help me to eliminate the wrong ones as there are several John Smiths, Father William born in this general area during those years. He was listed as age 21 in 1885, 28 on thr 1891 census, 38 on the 1901 census and age 72 on death cert in Feb 1937. Help, help, help!!!
